Empowering Youth through Soccer

At Korogati Football Club, we believe in the power of grassroots initiatives to inspire young players. By supporting youth soccer in Kenya, we cultivate leadership, teamwork, and a sense of community among the people of Korogati village.

Building a Stronger Community

Our mission goes beyond just football. We aim to uplift the entire Korogati village by fostering community spirit. With continued support, we can create vibrant spaces for gatherings, mentorships, and personal development for the youth and families.

The Story That Started It All

In 1997, a small village in Kenya got its first school — and Mwita was the very first student. There was no building, no chairs, no roof. Just a wide tree, a makeshift portable chalkboard, and the determination of a few families who believed their children deserved an education.

From learning under a tree in Korogati village, Mwita went on to earn a First Class Honors degree from Moi University, pursue graduate studies at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and become an Assistant Teaching Professor at Oklahoma State University.

But he never forgot where he came from.

When Mwita returned to Korogati in the Summer of 2024, he found a group of his former classmates — many of whom never made it past primary school — had formed a football club. Not for fame or glory, but simply to stay together, stay active, and stay out of trouble. They called themselves Korogati Blue Stars FC.

They had one request for Mwita: "Please be our Club Patron."

He couldn't say no.
